And to some degree or another, you've been able to create success in those areas. Along the way though, you've also discovered that there's a lot more to running a window film business than doing quotes and installing film. Things like: Sales, Marketing, Accounting, Inventory management, Networking, Staffing and a dozen other hats that all need to be worn in order for you to have a truly successful business. On top of that, there's the balance and freedom that's supposed to come with having a business of your own. Yet frequently, one of the most common complaints I hear as a business coach is: "I'm not running my business, it's running me!" If this is the way you feel, you're not alone. The sad truth is that most business owners feel that way. That to keep up with demands they're having to go faster and faster just to tread water, let alone get ahead. There's a reason for this and it's a bit of a secret that I'm going to share with you so I want you to listen closely... "The reason you feel this way is that you've spent too much time working IN your business and not enough time working ON your business." What's the difference you ask? Well, let me tell you. When you're working IN your business, you're doing the daily things that need to happen to fulfil your obligations of being in business. You're filling orders, doing quotes, installing film and meeting customers. This is all good - it's important work! Here's the problem though, the systems that you have to fulfil these obligations of business have a capacity. When you started your business, chances are, the capacity of your systems exceeded your business volume so everything was OK. At some point however, your business started to grow and it started to exceed the capacity of one of your systems. This is where the trouble starts because most people's reaction is to still use the old system and work it harder. This can work for a period of time but it leads to increased work, frustration, inefficiency and lost revenue. If it goes on long enough burn out and business breakdown are often the result. Here's an analogy: Think of your business as a pipeline that has customers that are poured into one end and money flows out the other. The larger the pipe, the more customers you can handle and the more money you can generate. The size of your pipe is determined by your systems - the smoother and more efficient your systems, the greater the capacity your pipeline will have. But what if one of your systems is, shall we say, "suboptimal" (because that's way more polite than saying "your system stinks on ice"). That's like having a huge bottleneck in your pipeline and there are only two ways to deal with a bottleneck... Either increase the pressure to force more through the bottleneck (AKA "work harder"), which for those of you who are familiar with fluid dynamics and/or plumbing, know will eventually lead to a burst pipeline (AKA "A horrible freakin' mess"). OR Change or repair the part of the pipeline that has the bottleneck with something that is larger and has greater strength. The choice in this example seems pretty straight forward and yet most business owners, when it comes to their business, increase the pressure instead of changing their pipeline. There are a few reasons that this happens to business owners:
This is where you need to start working ON your business. Working ON your business means:
When you think of doing this, how do you feel? Excited? Nervous? Unsure of where to start? All of the above and more? That's why we created the Window Film Success seminar. To help you create the business of your dreams. Using a step by step 12 month process, we take you through the key areas of your business and show you best practises that are utilised by some of the most successful window film businesses around. One of the great things about success is that it leaves clues. Clues that we have picked up, distilled down and put together in a system that will help your business grow in a way that puts you at the helm and in control. What's Included in the Program? The program is a 12 month coaching program that is done in webinar format. A webinar is a seminar that is done over the phone and web simultaneously so that you can get both audio and video instruction. It saves on travel costs and time while allowing you the comfort of learning in your own home. We meet as a group twice per month for an hour and there is a 1 hour private coaching session for you so that we can specifically focus on you and your businesses needs. Each month, there will be around 2-3 hours of work to do on your own. In addition to the live training, you'll also receive a 50 page implementation guide for reference and a poster sized laminated Window Film Success Strategic MindMap. What Do You Cover In the Training? When we surveyed successful businesses both in and out of the Window Film industry, we found that there were several areas which created the biggest problems for business owners. They are:
Take a moment and imagine what it would be like if you had all of these areas handled in your business in such a way that it flowed... We have designed the seminar so that whether you're a newbie or have been in it for a while now, there will be information that will help you take your business to the next level. Can My Team Sit In? When you sign up for the program, it can be just for you or for your whole team. We've had clients who have their staff sit in on the calls and then have a meeting right afterwards to discuss how to apply the information they've just learned. It's proven to be very effective in team building and moving the company together as a whole. The one-on-one coaching is best done with the owner(s) only. This is a place for you as an owner to talk about issues that you perhaps can't share with anyone else such as financial decisions or staffing issues. What's the Investment? Normally, a package like this would run between $350 - $500/month with no personal coaching. The investment for the program is $200/month. This covers all the materials, webinars, coaching and an 800 phone number. There are no hidden costs. If at any time, you wish to step down from the seminar, you can do so, no questions asked. To help make this even easier for you to decide, I'm also offering a guarantee for the first month of the program that if you're not getting what you want out of the course, you can return the course materials to me and I'll give you a full refund.
