In the past, leadership was regarded as a top-down phenomenon.  Orders were sent from a few people at the top to the masses down below who were supposed to carry out these orders with little or no thought.

This is not the model of today - at least not in the progressive, successful organisations.  Change is happening so rapidly and globalisation has created so many opportunities and danger points that leadership is need at all levels.

One of the key questions in leadership is:

"How do I get my people to show more initiative, take more ownership and on the whole, be more empowered in their approach to business?"

This is a great question to ask although it's not the right one...

The question that leaders need to ask themselves is:

"Who do I have to become and what do I have to learn to create an atmosphere where my people show more initiative, take more ownership and on the whole, are more empowered in their approach to business?"

In other words, you need to change before your people will.

You need to adopt a new mindset and you need a new set of skills.

The Coaching Clinic is about learning some of the most key elements of leadership to create that change.
